Australia Revises Maximum Residue Limits for Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals and Proposes Corresponding Updates to Schedule 20
On 20 August 2026, the Australian Government registered the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (MRL Standard for Residues of Chemical Products) Amendment Instrument (No. 4) 2026 on the Federal Register of Legislation under registration number F2026L01085. The instrument entered into force on 20 August 2026 and revises maximum residue limits (MRLs) and related residue definitions for various agricultural and veterinary chemicals in specified food commodities.
